Change history
The sub-processor 'Agent Intelligence' has been added to the list of Mixpanel sub-processors.
Added: Amazon Web Services, Inc., Anthropic, Inc., Atlassian Pty, Ltd., Braintrust Data, Inc., Google, Inc., HubSpot, Inc., Mixpanel International, Inc., OpenAI L.L.C., Pylon Labs, Inc., Snowflake Inc., Statisfy, Inc., Turbopuffer, Inc., Zendesk, Inc.
Mixpanel added Anthropic, Inc. as a sub-processor for AI services for customers with EU and India data residency. This introduces a new third party that processes personal information, although data is not used for training models or stored by Anthropic. Additionally, 'AI' was removed from a category filter list, suggesting a reclassification or simplification of how AI-related services are categorized or presented.
Why this matters if you use Mixpanel
Under GDPR Article 28(2), your own customers are usually entitled to notice before you add or replace a sub-processor — and Mixpanel's sub-processors are part of that chain. The notice period in a typical DPA is 10 to 30 days, and it starts when the vendor updates their page, not when you notice.
