The privacy policy has been updated to reflect several material changes. Key updates include the removal of Stripe, Inc. and Stripe Payments Europe, Limited - Italian Branch, and the addition of Stripe Italy S.r.l. as a new Italian Affiliate. Several new sub-processors have been added, including Metronome Technologies, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Snowflake, Inc. (both generally and specifically for the new 'Data Pipeline' section). The name of LemonSqueezy, LLC has been updated to Sold Through Link, LLC. Mitek Systems, Inc. has been removed as a sub-processor, and new sub-processors LoanPro Software, LLC and January Technologies, Inc. have been added under a new 'Consumer Issuing' subsection. Additionally, direct links to acquired Affiliate's own sub-processor lists for Bridge, TaxJar, and Privy have been added. The list of service providers for Terminal has also been updated with various new fulfillment and distribution partners.
Why this matters if you use Stripe
Under GDPR Article 28(2), your own customers are usually entitled to notice before you add or replace a sub-processor — and Stripe's sub-processors are part of that chain. The notice period in a typical DPA is 10 to 30 days, and it starts when the vendor updates their page, not when you notice.
